Our Activities
Book an Activity →Game Drives in the Maasai Mara
Venture into the golden heart of the Maasai Mara, where every horizon holds the promise of discovery. Led by our experienced safari guides, you'll journey deep into the open savannah, tracking wildlife across vast plains dotted with acacia trees and winding rivers.
Search for powerful lions resting in the shade, herds of elephants moving with quiet confidence, graceful giraffes browsing treetops, and endless columns of wildebeest sweeping across the landscape. Each drive unfolds differently, shaped by light, season, and the rhythm of the wild.
Early morning and late afternoon are prime times for sightings. As the sun rises, predators return from the hunt and the plains awaken with movement. In the golden glow of evening, wildlife becomes active once more, offering dramatic encounters and unforgettable photographic moments.
Our game drives are conducted in custom-built 4WD safari vehicles, with a maximum of six guests per vehicle, ensuring comfort, space, and guaranteed window seats for optimal viewing.
After an exhilarating day on the plains, return to the warmth and tranquility of Kaboso Safari Camp. Relax by the fire, savor a refreshing drink, and share the day's stories beneath a sky scattered with stars - the perfect ending to another remarkable safari adventure.
Maasai Village Experience
Step beyond the safari and into the living heritage of the Maasai people with a meaningful visit to a neighboring community boma.
Your experience begins with a traditional welcome from the Maasai morans (warriors), their vibrant red shukas catching the light as they greet you with song and rhythmic chants. Guided through the brushwood enclosure of the village, you'll gain insight into daily life, customs, and the deep connection between community, cattle, and land.
Watch as young morans demonstrate the ancient art of fire-making, skillfully kindling flame using only natural materials, while elders and women share stories through music, dance, and laughter. Every movement and melody carries generations of tradition.
You'll also have the opportunity to explore beautifully handcrafted beadwork and wood carvings. Each piece tells a story through color and pattern, reflecting identity, status, and cultural meaning.
Most importantly, your visit has purpose. Proceeds directly support local community initiatives, including water projects, healthcare services, and educational programs, ensuring that cultural preservation goes hand in hand with sustainable development.
This is more than a visit; it is a genuine cultural exchange, offering understanding, connection, and lasting impact.
Hot Air Balloon Safari
Embark on a hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara for a magical and unparalleled view of the wildlife below. Each flight provides a unique experience, showcasing eagle chicks, hippos, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, cheetahs, and lions. The quiet morning flight offers a clear view of the plains, rivers, and wildlife.
Our hot air balloon flights take off early to catch the morning breeze. Departing from camp around 5 a.m., you will meet your certified balloon pilot and witness the inflation of the balloon with hot air for a 45-minute flight.
After a gentle landing, celebrate with sparkling wine, receive your flight certificate, and enjoy a full English breakfast before a leisurely game drive back to camp.
